Our new website is under constructionThe new animated ident for Soho Films is currently being prepared. You can view what's going on so far by clicking here. Company ProfileWe were established
as a film consultancy and production house in 2003 - born out of one of the
first companies in London to take advantage of the boom in new media
services as more and more companies decided to use the internet
as a strategic marketing tool. Seven years later - after
servicing such companies as Panavision, Lee Lighting, The International
Broadcasting Convention (IBC) and Pinewood Studios we have
expanded to incorporate the development and co-production of
feature films from our own in-house screenwriting and production
talent as well as with independent co-producers worldwide.
Following 17 years in the publishing industry as an art director, editorial director, journalist, feature writer and publisher of magazines, books and newspapers - the company's managing director and producer, Lee Thomas, having expanded from print to the electronic medium, is now turning his creative talents to celluloid and digital video (DV).
As a small production
company - albeit with very big plans - we are reliant on working
with executive producers and co-producers as well as with production
managers and line producers with established reputations in both
Europe and Hollywood. We welcome approaches from independent
producers, development executives and studio executives who may
be interested in working with us on any of our projects
and at any stage of development. We will also consider packages
from commissioned screenplays to complete buy-out deals.
From developing ideas for sitcoms in the early 90's with a number of radio comedy writers through to completing our first screenplays for feature film production, we have been involved with a number of organizations over the years. We would therefore like to thank the following for their assistance and support in helping us develop our business:
The Film Council, Raindance Film Festival, New Producers Alliance, The Screenwriters' Workshop and Kay Media.
